Wesley is an avid outdoor enthusiast with almost 1O years working in the outdoor education field. He has been a wilderness instructor all over the West, an environmental educator in national parks, a university outdoor program instructor, a local rock climbing guide, a mountain guide, and a dedicated snowboard instructor at Mt. Bachelor.
Wesley holds a Bachelor in Environmental Sustainability studies with an emphasis in Outdoor Leadership and is currently working on a Master’s degree in Outdoor Experiential Education with interests in sociology, child development, and how those topics intersect with the outdoor industry.
By being a part of Vamonos Outside, Wesley desires to help bring small and big-picture change to diversity within the outdoor community in Central Oregon. Communities are only as healthy as the folks that make up those communities so by leveraging his work, Wesley is striving to do his part to help this community thrive
