If you live in Madras or Prineville, there is a fun resource to get kids excited about hiking. The Kids in Parks program was developed in 2019, which designated 5 local trails as TRACK Trails. These kid-friendly hikes now have kiosks with activity brochures, including Tracks and Traces, Nature’s Hide and Seek, Animal Athletes, and more. After your hike, you can log your activity online at kidsinparks.com, and kids will receive up to 6 prizes in the mail.
